Founded in 2016 near the historic town of Silves, Arvad takes its name from an ancient Phoenician term meaning “refuge,” reflecting the area’s long winemaking history. The project combines traditional inspiration with modern techniques, focusing on careful vineyard work and small-scale production.

Today, Arvad is recognized for its balanced, approachable wines that highlight both local and international grape varieties. As the only winery in the Algarve currently exporting its wines internationally, Arvad proudly showcases the character and heritage of this unique Portuguese wine region.
